‘Each endeavoring, all achieving…’
Endeavoring Wellness borrows its name from the national anthem of Antigua & Barbuda, the pair of islands in the West Indies from which my family hails. This practice was founded on the strong belief that if we each strive for a better community, we can create a better world for us all.
Through Endeavoring Wellness, my intention is to provide compassionate mental health care and wellness support to all people as they navigate a world of various and intersecting oppressive forces. My vision for Endeavoring Wellness is to foster a more joyful and liberated community through supporting people in their efforts to self-actualize and become the freest versions of themselves.
My Treatment Style
I use an integrated approach which draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Mindfulness-based techniques. I believe that we are the experts in our own lives. We live, work, and play in our bodies everyday; we are the first to experience our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We all grow and change moment to moment as we interact with the world and those around us, seeking to create meaningful lives–to find happiness and fulfillment. With this in mind, I strive to make each therapeutic relationship a collaboration; the client leads their own therapeutic journey, identifying and setting their own goals while I shore up their process through support in developing skills that the client needs to reach those goals.
My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, boundary-setting, and phase-of-life transitions. My practice affirms gender non-conforming individuals and persons of trans experience, as well as queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and asexual persons. I also welcome sex workers and individuals practicing alternative relationship styles such as non-monogamy, polyamory, and BDSM.
